What I like about this Barnes & Noble is that they have international magazines that we don’t usually have in the US. But when I saw Harry Judd’s picture in a sea of other magazines, I felt like I just went into his room and accidentally saw him almost naked. So, naturally, I nearly ran out of the store.

I just can’t take any McFLY member seriously when they pose nearly nude in magazine spreads (specifically Attitude). It’s just weird & uncomfortable. That’s why I took a picture of the upper half of the magazine…

032(1)/365 - favorite views: The Americana in Glendale

Taken on the third floor balcony at Barnes & Noble. This is one of my favorite views at The Americana at Brand in Glendale, CA. The sun was out, but it was a little chilly! Here’s some excerpt of what I wrote in my journal while I sat:

Currently on the third floor balcony at Barnes & Noble in The Americana. Bruno Mars is playing & I suddenly got chills (It was loud. It was nice hearing him through the speakers). I’m sitting down because I’m tired of walking (I have been walking around for a while before I wrote this).

(After the Bruno song) Is that Michael Buble singing?!!?!!?

It is suddenly chilly. I’m going back inside to keep warm.

It never was warm when I went back inside. Oh well. The view was nice to look at. Little kids running around the green grass pretending they’re flying with their arms wide. It was a very nice day indeeed.

My favorite show since 2007, (but officially since 2010) is ending.

I can’t comprehend my feelings for the last few episodes I just watched. I can’t even tell you how sad I am that it’s going to end.

5 seasons. Such a good run…despite the disaster that was 3/4 of season 3 & maybe season 4..

023/365 - Blast From The Past: 2007 - Disneyland

This was taken during the the first time I went to Disneyland on my birthday back in 2007 (second was 2009). The castle’s so pretty I was taking so many pictures of it—this was one of the best ones I took. The last time I actually went to Disneyland was June 2010, & I’m still having withdrawals. I hope I can go this year with my cousins!

Belle, yellow M&M, & a dog phone charm all the way from China. :) A friend gave me that dog charm, which she bought from her recent China visit! She said you can use markers to color on it. Expect to see that dog again in future 365 posts in color.

And I sure hope these won’t get loose.

You can say it’s a cafe, but it’s a place where you can have tea, coffee, and snacks all for mostly under $5 each! It’s a cozy place to hang out or study & they had some pretty photography related things on the wall.

I will definitely go back.

Finally tried Coffee Beanery’s Green Tea Frapp, and it’s good! I think I’ll try some more drinks on their menu. They have a really cool small cafe-style seating area practically near the center of the 2nd floor of the mall. I thought their chairs were pretty cool—they have like a little dent where you can hook the handles of your bag over it.

018/365 - Lovelle (iPod).

Gold Forever by The Wanted is currently on repeat. There’s actually a couple of songs that I can’t stop listening to, but Gold Forever is definitely one of them. :) They have some awesome pop songs I can dance to. I can’t help it.

EDIT: I know the language of my iPod is in French. I took French 1 last semester, so this was to help me. I changed it back to English. :)

I think this was on the way to Fresno for Thanksgiving. It was early as 7 or 8am-ish. This is one of the earliest photos I have in my files! 2006, wow.

(I think when I have no inspiration to take pictures, I’ll dig up an old photo and use it haha.)

NEW MUSIC: The Wanted.

The Wanted are a dance/pop boy band who don’t dance…but they play instruments.

Let me just start by saying I was in need of new music.

It took me about a week to get into them. I don’t know why I gave them so many chances, but I guess from friends’ encouragements and Ellen DeGeneres, I decided to listen to them.

My first impression of them on Ellen’s show was weird. They were such flirty guys, kissing just about every girl in the audience on the cheek. I understood one kissing a fan, but everyone in the audience?

This was the video that finally made me a fan. It’s a cover of them singing Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris”:

I was stunned to see that most of them play instruments. Honestly, I’d like to see more of this.

This one’s one of my favorite songs from them. It was last year’s Comic Relief single, so that’s why there’s a lot of red nose balls and the guys goofing around.:

It’s an uplifting song. The acoustic version is pretty, too. At first I wanted this song as the first single for the US, but Glad You Came is good, too.

Since I got into them I’ve been following their journey to the US. They just did their first show in Florida tonight. They’re mostly visiting radio stations within the next couple of days on the east coast.

The last dates are in the west coast. California. My state. I won’t be able to see them in their only date in LA, but it’d be nice.

I have done some research, and these boys remind me of McFLY a few years back—not music-wise, but I miss McFLY. I can’t help but think…they could have done this. That year Just My Luck came out, they could have mapped out a schedule like The Wanted did. Visit radio stations, book small venues…They were promoting Wonderland that time, right? I’ll Be Okay would’ve been the first single for the US…or I’ve Got You.

But no, they didn’t do any of that. I don’t think they did..

I know I’ve mentioned this probably a bit too many times…but I just can’t help thinking about this! They lost that opportunity to win America’s hearts that time. Instead they let that Harry/Lindsay fling take over their name..

They still want to take over the US now, but I don’t think it’ll work now. It’s too late.. Look at The Wanted. Have you been on your local radio station’s website? Their picture is plastered in every radio station’s websites in the US. Thanks to iHeartRadio, that’s major promotion right there.

Anyway, on that note, I’m glad The Wanted are bringing their music to the US; I think they’ll do well here. I hope we’ll see more of them later this year. Their album needs to be released here!!

015/365 - on the third week of the year…

I make weekly goals, as well as daily to do lists. I mostly get things done, which is always good.

This is still in the works, but I want to try & eat a fruit a day. It hasn’t been working but I hope I can resist eating sweet snacks & stuff this week, because I eat more of that than fruits… -_-

I haven’t been reading either, surprisingly enough.. I need to catch up on my reading, and my TV shows that I mapped out for myself—a TV show a day; not watching 1+ episodes more of a certain show (example, Ugly Betty). Last week failed. I’m going to try the TV schedule this week!

I hope I can accomplish a lot this week (especially w/ the things not listed)!

014/365 - Raffle Tickets

Today my sister and I went to one of my mom’s secretary meetings, and we were in charge of raffle tickets. We bought 10 each for me, my sister, and my mom. In fact, I won 2/3 things!! I got a gift card for Jamba Juice, and…a bottle of wine. x) As for the 3rd prize…all the gifts left happened to be the ones my mom bought, so I let others take them.

Aside from raffles, the food was lovely, had too much iced tea (might’ve been apricot or peach), and could not finish the dessert.

The Habit is one of my favorite burger place (Apart from Five Guys and In-N-Out). I always order the same thing (Charburger with cheese and onion rings), but I also added a Malt. It was a good meal! Always.

I notice how uncreative I’ve been with my 365 lately…taking mostly pictures of food. I like food (as you can tell) The next 365 posts will not be of food!
